Feedback from some of the 2009 Interns

The internship program at TRWIB was my first "real-world" experience in the U.S. It was a golden opportunity for my personal development and professional growth. During the internship, I developed important career skills through a variety of practical projects. My niche in the GIS area allowed me to increase my knowledge of mapping software and database management. In addition, I really appreciated working with the TRWIB staff, especially my supervisor, who offered lots of valuable guidance and advice, both professional and personal. I believe that my internship at TRWIB will prove to have been a remarkable step in my professional life that helped me to find the perfect career path.
Chunjie Gan was a graduate student of the Architecture-Engineering-Construction Management Program at the Carnegie Mellon University. In TRWIB she focused on analyzing job access issues.

After graduating from Carnegie Mellon, I was looking for an exposure to apply my technical skills in a consulting environment. I had the opportunity to work with TRWIB during the spring and summer 2009. I was assigned challenging data warehousing projects to improve the organization’s market research analysis tools. The work environment was very relaxed and I got every bit of support required for successful completion of my projects. I was able to enhance my technical and consulting skills along the way.
Shailesh Radhakrishnan was a recent graduate of the Information Systems Management Program at the Carnegie Mellon University. He significantly enhanced TRWIB research technology.

TRWIB provides opportunities for interns to do meaningful work and contribute in ways that teach valuable skills. Interns are not used to shuffle paper in this organization, making it a unique internship opportunity
Yvette Yescas was an undergraduate, non-traditional student at the University of Pittsburgh. In her time with TRWIB, she worked on industry labor reports and inclusion focus groups.
