TRWIB informs decision-making on regional development to ensure that current and future market needs of businesses and job seekers are met. TRWIB fulfills its mission through:
Acquiring, managing, interpreting, and sharing relevant workforce data
Identifying and researching critical workforce issues
Consulting and advising on public policy with employers and employment sectors.
We do this by:
Chartering
and overseeing a network of one-stop centers,
known as PA
CareerLink, that delivers employment and
training services to jobseekers and employers;
Creating
and preserving local job opportunities through
industry
partnerships and other employer-focused
initiatives;
Certifying
training
providers that prepare individuals for
high priority occupations;
Cultivating
the emerging workforce through youth
development activities; and
Identifying,
communicating and building consensus around
key public
policy issues that impact the local labor
market.
Who we serve:
Decision/policy makers affecting the region (direct) (e.g., Mayor, County, State, Federal)
Employers, education, and training providers (direct)
