The Three Rivers Workforce
Investment Board oversees the local PA CareerLink
network of comprehensive centers, community centers
and access points, geographically distributed
throughout Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. This
network provides employers and jobseekers with
market-driven services, workshops, and information
in an integrated, seamless, universally accessible
setting that supports all customers in making
informed hiring decisions and/or career choices.
Jobseekers can access job listings, job search
assistance, skills assessment, career counseling,
and a range of education and training programs. Federal
grants, known as individual training accounts,
are available to those who qualify. A wide array
of services is also available for employers, including
resource centers, interview rooms, employee recruitment
and screening assistance, customized job training,
technical assistance, and labor market information.
