Engaging educators

Improve classroom performance and give students real-world experience

To help improve classroom performance and achieve PA Department of Education Career and Technical Education Standards, E4 serves educators by providing connections to:

  • Employers
  • Curriculum development workshops
  • Career information

In our first year (2006-2007), we are piloting programs with six partner school districts in Allegheny County:

  • East Allegheny
  • Highlands
  • Northgate
  • South Fayette
  • Sto-Rox and
  • Quaker Valley

Through our partnerships with these schools, we are facilitating a number of programs including:

  • Job shadowing tours
  • Connecting students with e-Mentors
  • Providing students with relevant career literature and labor market information
  • Curriculum development workshops for educators
