Who is Hiring?
TRWIB continues to monitor regional job openings and monthly job growth. In December, there were more than 10,000 job postings, of which less than a half were offering annual wages of about $20,000, a third above $40,000 and a quarter over $60,000.
The most job opportunities were presented by PNC, UPMC and Westinghouse, and also by UPC. Health care practitioners, administrative assistants, financial analysts and software engineers were the most advertised occupations, but large numbers of openings were also available in retail, accounting, customer service, and sales.
Monthly reports listing the top 10 hiring companies and top 15 occupations in demand, as well as other labor market information are available at: http://www.trwib.org/research-publications/lmi.html
